25/01/09 was reunion dinner. All chinese families or those who celebrate Chinese New Year will be rushing home for the gathering.
It's a day where family members be it immediate or relatives would gather together and enjoy a sumptuous dinner relishing the past years moments.
My intention was to be with my family but not to disappoint Aaron's parents, I went to their place for dinner. Still, I made the arrangement to have a reunion lunch with my family.
While I'm enjoying my lunch, a tuition agent called and claim to have an urgent assignment. It was a 1 day job and that lady required translation from a English documents to Chinese verbally.
Since it's near to Aaron's parents flat, I readily agreed, and I need not pay 50% commission to the agent as required.
I went to her place reluctantly(a very contradicting from before, initially I'm alright but later I hate the feeling to work during eve of CNY). I was expecting informal letter, but it turned out to be divorce documents. It was a 14 pages documents. Immediately, my heart sank. I quickly get down to business and tried my best to translate for her while she typed out in Chinese.
We took almost 4 hours to finish translating, and I went off immediately.
Back to their flat, the girls were starting to have their dinner. They were enjoying their dinners with TV as companion.
After our dinner, we were watching TV, but my mind keep thinking about the translation that I have done earlier. I realised being judge isn't easy after all. I read the documents from her husband and how she retaliated to his "accusations". I realised you really need to be impartial to judge correctly, and by being impartial I mean submitting all the evidences to prove your claims.
Well it's not my position to judge so let just say, I'm glad not to be the judge.......
