Cadbury such a famous brand also contained melamine. This is sad liaoz....... So what product is free from melamine?
How come more products surface containing melamine? Does that mean AVA never do a thorough check?

More test
At least now china products scandal finally quite down a little, even though still have news about it.
But it's still best to screen through the products before buying. With over 53,000 children sicks and 4 deaths so far in China, well other countries do report illnesses after consuming their products, naturally it affect singapore.
Being a typical singaporean, naturally I become conscious of what I buy from the supermarkets. I do not want to place my girls' health in any risk.
I hope thing will clear out pretty soon, but read new they are noe testing animals foods too. Seems like animals also get sick from consuming their products. Woooooooo dangerous........

5 New Products
Nowaday newpaper sure has news on China products. Today there's 5 new products added to the lists.
Already M&M, Dove, Meiji, and Snickers on the lists, and they are some of my favorite, now House of Steam Potato crackers also on the lists.
Really don't know what can be bought now.
How come till now then there's all this scandal. Aren't all these products on our shelves for sometime?
Previously, no one check at all, so does it mean AVA so-called stringent check isn't that stringent after all.
Nevertheless, SG AVA still consider not too bad after all. They reacted immediate at least.

More Products
It's horrifying to learn that so many products have been recalled or banned. Now anything that contains milk is enough to scare people, especially senior citizens.
I read from Today, uncles and aunties are asking for "kopi/teh-kosong", that is coffee/tea w/o milk.
I feel that China is being irresponsible. They know the incident few months ahead, yet they did not dessiminate the info to outside.
Now with 53,000 suffering from the effect of tainted milk, but also 4 deaths.
They should really work toward cleaning up their reputation. People has just relieved from the past effect due to poor, dangerous quality of food, toys, etc, now it's another wave of the same problem, except it's a bigger scale than previous.
Is it profit lucrative that people can forsake the life of others?
Why can't they think out of the box, imagine what if it's their loved one undergoing the pain?
I as a mother can empathize with it. Wonder when all will be back to normal.

China Woe
Saturday(20/09/08), I watched the news, shocked to realise that S'pore has recalled so many product from China. The worst is I just bought the product which they are recalling, and we have consumed.
They have recalled the white rabbit milk sweet, Yili brand yoghurt, Dutch Lady brand milk, etc.
Dutch Lady brand happen to be the one I bought. My girls like to have their morning cereals with full cream milk, especially Dutch lady brand.
Can imagine the horror when I watched the news? I quickly dumped the milk away, natural respond of a mother.
Following all this recalled of China products, I followed actively on their news.
This morning read from Straits Time, more countries are banning and recalling China products, Europe countries included.
Now the problem is the product might not be made in China, but certain ingredients can be from China, and that's the danger.
I believe S'pore still relatively safe as we have taken necessary precaution and action immediate. Nevertheless, it's safer to check before we buy any products.

Milk Scared
China is under fire again. Is profit more important than life. We are talking about 4 life being taken away, cos of tainted milk powder. It's cruel to do that to a defendless little being.
Imagine the parents' pain, enjoying their bundle of joy now, then gone next.
Hopefully it's won't spread to other countries.
For now, I don't think I will buy any china products. If it's stated as "Made in China", then sorry it's a no-no for me.
I don't wish to take chance for myself or my kids.
Better play safe than sorry.
