Mon (27/10/08) another celebration of my birthday as well as my sister. We share the same date but a year apart.
Our initial planning was to enjoy at Botanic garden, then lunch, followed by Swensen @ Orchard, but it never went as planned.
We wanted to let the children enjoyed, so we decided to go for the Jacob Children playground. It was from one end to the other. We started from the main entrance at orchard and walked all the way to Bukit Timah. It took us an hour or more to reach our destination.
Initially the kids enjoyed the scenery, but as the walk continued, Dinah and Naomi became cranky.
Still it was nice to watch all the greenery. But my sister might be tired, cos she's pregnant, and walked such a long distance. It's tiring.
All that crankiness stopped when we approached the playground. We thought to have lunch first, but there's only a Kidz Cafe. They sold finger foods and drinks only. Left with no other option, we settled that temporary, till later.
Naomi enjoyed moving the kiddy chairs around. Recharged, we moved on to the children playground. The girls were disappointed that they couldn't play on the water playground. I did not prepare any spare clothing.
But they could play on the sandy playground. They quickly overcome their disappointment, and played wildly. Natasha wasn't interested in sandy playground, but when she had her milk, she seemed recharged and played along.
They played for almost an hour, and left. Since we were at Bukit Timah, it's made no sense to return to Orchard. That would be another hour, so we wanted to go Holland Village for Swensen, but Natasha and Naomi are sleepy, and I'm rushing for time. I'm meeting my friends at 3pm.
In the end, we left for home.
