My 2 girls concurrently fall sick, both running high fever. Natasha started the ball rolling. Last friday (14/11/08), while we were preparing for bed, I felt her body quite warm. Instinctively, I felt she's having fever. I took her temperature, and true she's having low-grade fever.
I gave her paracetamol to curb her fever. Even though, I knew it would still accerlerate, but it's better than doing nothing and let it go out of hand.
Saturday, I'm still monitoring her situation, cos her fever did come down again. I'm reluctance to bring her see doctor though, cos she did not has any signs of illnesses other than fever. And we have all the necessary medicine at home for the kids.
But her appetitie dropped, she ate very little. But I gave her plenty of fluid to keep her hydrate. She should be resting at home, but Saturday her Aaron's father brought us out. Initially said for breakfast, end up going to Plaza Singapura and shopped.
Nevertheless, still grateful, cos he bought dinner for us and even gave $50 for Natasha medical fee. His thoughtfulness is well appreciated, but won't change my decision nontheless.
Natasha's condition worsen after saturday outing, and since it's saturday alot of clinics would have closed, and we will have to wait till next day.
Her condition too bad that need to warrants an ambulance, and thank god I still have the suppository (for high-grade fever) at home. I inserted the suppository into her rectrum and paste fever patch onto her forehead before bedtime. Night time, usually fever will be very high.
By Sunday morning her fever has came down significantly. Still, I brought her to see doc, for her flu and chesty cough. I was planning to stay at home with her, while Dianh and Naomi follow their grandfather to church.
But he called, and said we go together. I tried to explain my way through, but he insisted. Out of gratefulness for his thoughtfulness to Natasha, I agreed. They waited while I bring Natasha to visit the doc, then we went to Marina Square for breakfast before heading to church.
During church service Natasha vomitted, and even during lunch time her appetitie was still poor. She hardly ate anything.
By the time we reached home, it was around 4pm. Hardly any rest for Natasha. But for her sisters, it was a fun-filled day. Cos after lunch, their grandfather brought them to play those coin operated ride.
When we reached home, he suggested going out for dinner. I was surprised. He hasn't slept for whole night and morning, wouldn't he be tired. I asked him, but he said it's alright. Seems like Natasha won't has any good rest after all.
By monday morning, Natasha's fever was gone but not the cold. She never went to childcare. While preparing for Dinah and Naomi for school, Cora realised that Naomi also has fever. So in the end, both not going to childcare, only Dinah.
