Today lunch sure was overwhelming. One of my colleagues brought us to a Shanghai restaurant. During lunch hour alot of restaurant at Boat Quay sell set menu at resonable price.
The whole place look clean and air conditioned. The price also resonable. Their set lunch consists of a drink and a plate/bowl of rice of noodle of your choice, which costs $5 only. We ordered their set lunch with additional items (Guo Tie and Xiao Long Bao).
We did enjoy our lunch, the foods were nice, and we chatted happily, till one of them saw a cockroach .
It was crawling on the wall behind one of my colleagues. I was scared stiff. Cockroach is woman killer. Its big, and seems to be able to fly. A flying cockroach, that even worse. I quickly scampered off my seats, so do my other colleagues.
The owner did remove it but she did not give us discount. After that we vow not to return to this restaurant anymore.....
Usually they will give discount cos a pest in the restaurant, it's damaging to the reputation, well forget it, we are not going again and definitely won't recommend.........
