Last evening, I met up with Wei Ching. I was so touched by her gesture, even though she's a full-time student, but when I asked her for donation to redshirt, she agreed immediately.
Currently, I'm helping redshirt to raise fund for their operation to buy necessities/goodies for those lonely, and living in 1-room flat old folks.
I learned of this organisation from Lynn, and she roped me in. They are distributing stuffs and "ang baos" next year 10/11 Jan 2009. I agreed to help out on 10/01/09, as 11/01/09 is a Sunday, and i've to attend church service in the morning.
Initially, we only volunteers our services, but I feel bad for unable to help out on Sunday, as they needs helpers more for that day, so I suggested raising funds for the goodies.
Lynn agreed and we started asking around. I SMS Wei Ching, and she agreed, so might as well make use of this opportunity to meet up with her while she can pass me the money.
And that how we met up. It was nice meeting up with friends seldom see, and updating each other details of recent happening. She's really a wonderful and kind-hearted lady, and we have agreed to volunteer our services for charity cause, but yet to register ourselves.
With her $10 contribution, our total donation will be $200.......Now we are trying to raise as much as we can.........
