29/11/08 - My cousin customary wedding. They have invited my family for their wedding dinner.
I had no wish to attend, but on the account of my mother and auntie, I went. It turned out to be a disappointment. There wasn't any signs to indicate her wedding (there were 2 weddings going on) and if not for my brother, I might have to ask.
At the reception area, there aren't any relatives or bride (my cousin) to welcome the guest, mainly their friends and the grooms. The mood definitely not very joyous, abit quiet, different from the wedding I've attended.
Our table also not very ideal. My sister and her family aren't sitting with us. Later I learned from my mum, they purposely changed their seats, cos they don't want 1 table to has overwhelming of kids. Their arrangement also seems weird, relatives' tables were all set at the side while friends' tables were all situated at the centre (near stage).
Obviously friends seems to be the priority guests. My first encounter with such wedding, normally my friends' weddings would be relatives first, then friends etc......
Still I must give credit to their service. The staffs were friendly, but location not ideal. It was at Furama (formerly Apollo Hotel) but the taxi driver drove me to Furama (Chinatown).
Conclusion, service good, location not ideal, their reception horrible...............
