Solely with Dinah

Last Friday (13/03/09), I took leave to attend "Meet-The-Parents" session with Dinah @ her school.

I wasn't expecting for such a long wait. We reached there in the morning and left in the afternoon. It was bright and sunny but when we left it was raining cat & dog.

We went to see her chinese teacher first. It was quick, but when we reached her classroom to see her form teacher - I was shocked. The queue was long and it was slow. No choice since I need to know how Dinah progressing in school.

After 2 hours of waiting, finally our turn - it was such a relieve and glad.

Her Chinese teacher commented that Dinah lack of understanding for her "Pin Yin", and she needs to speak more mandarin at home. I bear that in mind and tried to make an effort trying to be bilingual with her.

Her english teacher say she tends to be distracted easily but she's good in expressing and voicing her ideas.

Apparently, Dinah wasn't too happy about her teacher's comments to her, and she threw thantrum. Well, she got scolded by me.

We went to lunch at my mum's stall, and that eased our tension. Soon we were back to normal, and we went to National Museum.

I wanted to visit the exhibition on "Kangxi" but I got the places mixed up. It's should be at the asian museum.

Nevertheless, National Museum prove to be good too. She was so excited and was busy listening partially to all the sudio set that they provided.

So I believed she got a bit of history lesson, though I doubted that. She's more engrossed in the display, then listening.

We had a wonderful time exploring. Even though, it was raining and cold at that time, but we were accompanied by different sch having their excursions and couple taking their wedding photos.

Dinah was particulary interested in the couple. She was praising how beautiful and lovely the bride's gown was. And she deliberately walked past to admire but at the same time she's unaware that she's being a "light bulb".

We explored about few hours and we left.

Since we were at Dohby Guant, so I decided to drop by MDIS for course enquiry. Eventually, I decided to register for the March course, I don't wish to wait till July - start early, end early.

We happily left to Plaza Singapura for dinner before heading home.

It was a memorable day for us. Dinah was happy that I spent precious time alone with her, but the regret is that we did not take many photos together, cos I'm the photographer, the few photos we had together was me asking staffs there for help.

The trip gave me inspiration to spend time alone with individuals, perhaps I can start with their birthday. It was a special day that they all deserved it.
