All at once.......

I’m exhausted not by working and studying but because of moving furniture. Sunday’s night after coaching Dinah her schoolwork, while we were preparing for bed, she noticed that our mattresses were wet. I realized my delicate air-con was dripping water again and this round it was worse than before.

Frustrated, I tried placing a plastic bag under the air-con to “catch” the water, but it was dripping too fast and much, eventually breaking the bag.

Left with no other choice, I decided to “abandon” this room for the other for the time being.

I started exchanging furniture between the 2 rooms. It was really a tedious job, imagine having to shift 1 queen size mattress & bed frame, 1 desk, 1 sofa, 1 single size mattress & bed frame, and other smaller size items.

By the time I was done, it was really very late at night, while the girls were sleeping soundly; I’m trying to tidy the whole place.

I spent 1 whole night tidying the whole place.

I managed to get a little rest before I’m up and ready for work, but end up having to take urgent leave for childcare reason.

Due to the swine flu orange alert, all places step up on their health screening security. Parent can’t enter childcare as freely as we used to, and we have to sign declaration form and take our temperature.

If there’s any symptoms liked cough, flu and fever must be certified by doctor before they can resume lesson.

Thank god, my company’s insurance covered my girls as well, else I will be broke.

Even though it causes a lot of inconvenience to us, but at least comforted that we are stepping up measures to prevent any outbreak, so just have to bear with it for temporarily.

But with the swine flu outbreak, I presume it will be crippling to the economy. Already the economies are in a bad shape, now with additional factor; surely it will add on impact to the existing problem.

Even our minister also told Singaporean to accept the fact that retrenchment is still on-going and ask us to embrace for further decline.

Well just have to be resilient and spend wisely…………..easier to say then done, that why upgrading seems to be a better bet than ever before………….
