Yesterday after church service, we went for lunch (as usual) with my in-laws. Out of concern, I asked about Aaron’s health.
My mother-in-law told me that his conditions worse than before surgery. The doctor has extended his MC till end of Jul. I wasn’t surprised but did not mention.
I have already expected his condition to worsen. Nowadays, he hardly moves, and to generate new nerve, he has to move. Beside his muscle will also stiffen, due to the lack of movement.
The main problem is that his parents don’t understand the logic. Their concerns I would say is irrelevant, and over-protective.
In certain way, they contribute to Aaron current condition. Instead of allowing Aaron to gradually regain his mobility, they are doing the reverse. The details I shall not go into it.
Initially, I wanted to ignore him, but I can’t. if I don’t know his affair, then there’s an excuse to be ignorance, but if I know yet I choose to close 1 eye, then it’s heartless.
Like I explain to my mum, if I could help strangers, why shouldn’t I help him? After all, he’s not a stranger to me. I don’t know how much I can help, but at least I should try.
Aaron biggest problem is he needs constant supervision, and pushing. Once you slack, he slacks even faster than you.
So after consideration, I think the first step should be to get him to move his muscle, and that means I have to visit him. I’m not anticipating him to be co-operative, but I still need to try. I must have faith and believe that god will help me…………
Relying on his parents won’t get him anywhere, because they always tell me that they have told him to exercise. But what’s the use of telling him, and not monitoring or even checking on him to ensure he do so………
I draw my conclusion that they are only good at saying but no action (as usual)…….I will be exhausted, as I have to look after the girls and prepare for my up-coming exams......It's not going to be easy........
