Legal Aid confuse me

Yesterday Aaron's father called me, sound urgent. I'm thinking there's only 2 things he would probably wants to talk about, and that would be the girls or Aaron.
My opinon will be it's regarding Aaron. I can't think of any other reason other than Aaron, cos he sounds urgent, in a desperate need to talk to me.
10 minutes later he called again as I've requested since I'm not home yet. Immediately, he talked about letter that Aaron has received from Legal Aid. I'm taken aback. I was expecting them to send letter to me first to inform me of the outcome of my application. I told my father in law so too.
He tried persuading me to stall the procedure for the time being, and give Aaron and our marriage another try. I tried to explain my view, which I knew he wouldn't understand too. It has been proven many times.
Nevertheless, I felt good having to express my dismay at those insults I have suffered, and their constant interference. I quote them example still. It's good to voice out my opinon not in harsh way, but at least I've made my view known.
They tried to assure me they will minimize the same situation from happening but I don't feel their assurance. I know history will still repeat. It's a maze that has no exit.
I've made myself crystal clear and indirectly said of my firm decision. I advised them to talk to his son rather than me, since they might make it worse.
I'm mentally prepared thing is going to be ugly, but for time being I will try to tone thing down. I don't wish to spoil this festive season, and so soon.
