I just read finished the book on the biography of Elizabeth Taylor. It’s called – A Passion of Life.
It’s intriguing to learn of her childhood and her path to stardom. While reading this book, I was feel with a mixture of detest and admiration. Detest – as she felt it’s alright to break-up a marriage. Admiration – as she managed to over come the negative limelight that has followed her constantly, especially her many marriages.
If not for her mother, Sara, persistent and strategy, I presumed she might not be where she is now. But in another way, her mother has deprived her of a normal childhood and adolescent.
Her mother was a fade away actress. She has placed her desired to be a famous actress onto Elizabeth. Since a tender age, Elizabeth has been undergoing training to groom her for actress quality.
Eventually, her mother did successfully get Elizabeth into MGM, and it was the movie National Velvet that people noticed her potential.
She gained her popularity before she reached her adulthood. Subsequent chapters talked about her numerous marriages. I find it tiring reading all her marriages, but well she’s also famous for that too…..
Nevertheless, it’s still interesting to read about her life as a celebrity. After reading, I think it’s better to have a peaceful life…….My life is wonderful, having the freedom to do whatever I pleased…………..
