Birthday.....

I have an enjoyable birthday celebration last week. Thursday (29/10/09) was the actual day, and that day my friends treated me to buffet. It’s a sweet gesture from them.

Friday (30/10/09), I had a very hectic day and I was late meeting Huijun. My mood was really terrible for that day, but I did not pass onto anyone. I was glad seeing my friend that I couldn’t be bothered with my bad mood. It was meant to be “celebrating” weekend as well as my birthday.

Huijun gave me a pendant from Citigem. I really appreciated that. Initially, we wanted to have buffet at Coca but it was full house thus we went to Sushi Tei. That day alone I have sushi for lunch (Sakae Sushi) and dinner (Sushi Tei).

As usual, we went to hunt for a late opening café for some “update”. We settled on Xin Wang. We stayed till their closing time at 2 am and ended our day.

While snacking at Xin Wang, we met our secondary school friend, whom we have not met for a long time. I admitted that I couldn’t recognize him at all, but Huijun has no problem with it.

The only scary part is ION’s toilets. It was rather senseless to switch off the light in the cubicle. It was scary as it was pitch dark. We ended up entering into one cubicle but back facing the one who is settling the “business”. It can be rather eerie.

When I reached home, it was almost 2.40am, and by the time I dozed off it was 3.30 am. I barely slept for long when I heard Natasha cried. I got startled and went to take a look. It was then I realized that Cora had left to my-in-laws’ house. I was furious. I thought we have agreed that she would stay overnight at my place.

I called to ask for an explanation, just to be more furious by Aaron’s mother reply. I would rather not go into detail. Therefore, I hardly caught any sleep afterward and met Wei Ching in the afternoon.

We met at Bugis and headed to Arab Street – fika (a Swedish café) for lunch. She gave me a clutch for my birthday, as she remembered that I needed one for an upcoming wedding dinner. I was really touched by her thoughtfulness. After our lunch, we explored the few lanes of Arab Street, and absorbed some of the Middle East uniqueness.

By afternoon, I was more or less burned out and we shopped a while more before we call it a quit for the evening. But the day was not really over for me, as I agreed my mum to go over for dinner. Our plan was to eat outside but with the looming dark clouds and later on horrendous rain, we ended up packed chicken rice for dinners. Even the cake would have to shelf due to the heavy rain.

Even though we did not eat out or bought any cake, but we still enjoyed ourselves, and we left at 9.30pm. I was totally exhausted when I lied down on my bed, and shortly thereafter I dozed off.

Yesterday evening, the last round of celebration ended with Sharon, Kenny, Sharon’s mother and my three little princesses. We went to Swensen for our yearly routine – having Swensen Disney Princess ice-cream cake.

It was meant to celebrate my as well as Sharon’s birthday, since our birthdays were only two days apart. And finally Sharon gave me vouchers from Capitaland.

I seriously appreciate that my friends and family take the effort to make my birthday truly special and well-love…………
